Terminating a Cluster

You can terminate an MRS cluster that is no longer used after job execution is complete.

Context

Typically after data is analyzed and stored, or when the cluster encounters an exception and cannot work, you can terminate a cluster. A cluster failed to be deployed will be automatically terminated.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the MRS management console.
  2. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Active Clusters.
  3. In the cluster list, locate the row containing the cluster to be deleted, and click Delete in the Operation column.

The cluster status changes from Running to Deleting, and finally to Deleted. You can view the deleted cluster in Cluster History.
