Starting Pressure Test Tasks

You can add multiple test tasks to a test project. A transaction can be used by multiple test cases, and multiple test phases can be defined for a test case. In each test phase, you can define the test duration and number of concurrent users, and simulate complex scenarios such as traffic peaks and troughs.

Prerequisites

  • Test cases have been added.
  • The resource group is in the Running state.
  • Ports 32001 and 32003 on the management node of the resource group are enabled in the security group.
  • The execution node of the resource group and applications under the pressure test are connected through the network.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the CPTS console and choose CPTS Test Projects in the navigation pane on the left.
  2. Locate a CPTS test project to be edited and click Edit Test Task.
  3. Create a test task. For details, see Creating a Test Task.
  4. When the task is created, click next to the task.
  5. In the Enable Test Task dialog box, select one resource group type from the Resource Group Type drop-down list.

    • Shared resource group: You can use a shared resource group directly without creating a resource group. A maximum of 1000 concurrent users are supported. Pressure tests can be performed on external IP addresses.
    • Private CCE resource group: a private CCE resource group created in your account.

  6. Click Enable to enable the test task.
  7. (Optional) Click View Report to view the real-time test report.

Suggestions on Filling in Test Tasks

It is recommended that the duration be set to at least 300s and the number of concurrent users be set based on the actual situation. Obtain the maximum pressure value for the application through repeated tests by adjusting test data, and perform continuous optimization and verification for the application.
