Customizing Dashboard Pages and Grids

After creating a dashboard, DataArts Insight offers a variety of dashboard themes to enhance its visual appeal. You can achieve this by customizing global styles, page layout, and component styles through the page settings. This section provides a detailed guide on how to customize the theme settings in dashboard page settings.

Prerequisites

You have logged in to the management console and accessed the dashboard editing page. For details, see Creating a Dashboard.

Procedure

  • Page settings
    1. On the dashboard editing page, click Page Settings in the right pane.
    2. On the Page Settings page, set configuration items such as the global style and page layout.
    3. Set the following parameters:
      1. Global Style

        Set the global style of the topic.

        Parameter

        Description

        Page Background

        Set the background color of the dashboard.

        Color Palette

        Set the color system supported by the dashboard. The options include System and Custom.

        Color scheme supported by the system: Select the required color scheme from the drop-down list.

        Custom: You can customize the images to determine the color scheme.

        Corner Rounding

        Set the corner radius of the chart cards by either entering a specific value or using the and buttons.

        Card Stroke

        Set the stroke of the chart cards by either entering a specific value or using the and buttons.

        Component Inner Margin

        Set the inner margin of a component. The options include Default and Custom. You can customize the inner margin by either entering a specific value or using the and buttons.

      2. Page Layout

        Set the page layout of the topic.

        Parameter

        Description

        Page Title

        Set the page title. You can select or deselect this parameter.

        If selected, the page title is displayed. If not selected, the page title is not displayed.

        Title

        Page title, which can be customized.

        Text

        Font size of the title. You can customize it by either entering a specific value or using the and buttons.

        Alignment

        Two alignment options are supported: left alignment and center alignment.

        Bottom Margin

        Set the margin from the title to the page. You can retain the default value or customize one. You can customize the value by either entering a specific value or using the and buttons.

    4. Advanced
      1. Display watermark: If the checkbox is selected, the default username is displayed on the chart canvas. If the checkbox is not selected, the username is not displayed. You can also enter custom watermark content in the watermark content text box.
      2. Parameter Setting
        1. Click the pen icon next to Parameter Setting.
        2. In the displayed Global Parameters dialog box, set the global parameter list, query criteria, and charts.
        3. Click OK.
    5. Click Save to save the dashboard.
  • Grid Setting
    1. On the dashboard editing page, click Grid Settings in the right pane.
    2. On the Page Grid Configuration page, set Number of Grid Columns, Column Spacing, Line Spacing, and Page Margin.

      Parameter

      Description

      Number of Grid Columns

      Set the number of grid columns. You can set the number by either using the and buttons or entering a specific value.

      Column Spacing

      Set the spacing between grid columns. You can set the spacing by either using the and buttons or entering a specific value.

      Line Spacing

      Set the spacing between grid lines. You can set the spacing by either using the and buttons or entering a specific value.

      Page Margin

      Set the margin between a grid and the page. You can set the margin by either using the and buttons or entering a specific value.

    3. Click Finish in the upper right corner.
